Donaldson Co., a global supplier of filtration systems and components, announced it will build a new filter manufacturing plant in Skarbimierz, Poland. The new plant, which will cover 108,000 sq. ft. (10,000 m3) and include room for expansion, will serve the filtration requirements of European and Russian customers, the company said.

The facility will be dedicated to the production of heavy-duty air filters for both the on-road and off-road equipment markets. The new Polish plant, expected to open in 2015, is Donaldson’s third manufacturing site in Central and Eastern Europe, joining plants established in the Czech Republic in 2003 and 2006.

"We are very pleased to add this new, state-of-the-art facility to our extensive manufacturing and distribution base in Europe and have appreciated the ongoing support of the Polish government and local Skarbimierz officials," said Wim Vermeersch, vice president, Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa. "Based on our company’s strategic growth plan, this new plant will allow us to further increase our filter manufacturing capacity to meet our projected OEM and aftermarket Customer demand throughout Europe and Russia.”
